Conquering the Inner B*tch

Today I ran the route I created yesterday of supposedly “3.6” Kilometers.

Once I finished the first lap, turns out I’ve only ran 1.8 Kilometers. This means that Instead of running just one lap of my route I need to run two. This is where conquering the inner b*tch comes into play.

I watched a video yesterday on the David Goggins 40% Rule and you can watch it here if you’re interested what it’s all about. But essentially, Instead of running another lap, next time I am going to turn around and run the same route in reverse.

Here is the video if you want to watch it:

I want to add that it is crazy how people have so much self discipline to push themselves that far.

And to give you motivation, here is a quote by Marcus Aurelius

“Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.”

― Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

I naturally woke up today before six, eagerly laying in my bed until 6AM so that I can wake up and start my day.

I started my day with Water, Vitamin C and Hot Tea with Three sugars.

I Haven’t had any breakfast yet and I’m about to have my second shower.

After doing some research after I had my morning shower I discovered that having two showers per day is bad for your skin as it strips away the skins natural oils and bacteria.

This can lead to dryness, itching, flakiness, and can trigger flare ups of skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.

To add, Excessive washing can also disrupt the balance of microorganisms on your skin, potentially increasing the risk of infections, and the hot water and harsh soaps used can further exacerbate skin damage.

This is why, I am going to only wash my face and brush my teeth before a run and then cool off for half an hour writing a blog post and then once I am finished I am going to have a shower to wash off all the sweat, dirt and grime.

I have decided to take Sundays off to rest. Which is when I’ll shower right after I get out of bed to get my day started.

Thank you for reading!
