Hello. In this video the YouTuber Spicy Foodz shows us a basic muffin recipe.
Recipe
Ingredients:
All purpose flour – 1cup (130g)
Egg – 1 Sugar – ⅓cup (67g)
Oil – ¼cup (60ml)
Milk – ¼cup (60ml)
Baking powder – 1tsp (4g)
Vanilla sugar – 1tsp
Salt – ⅛tsp
Bake in preheated oven (180°C) for 18-20 mins
There is so much you can do with muffins, you can add fruits, nuts, chocolate, protein powder etc.
But it is important to learn the basics before you can start to experiment with more advanced techniques.
Which is why, to avoid wasting expensive ingredients, I am going to practice baking the most basic muffins without any other additives .
What do I know about baking muffins?
I know that I want to make muffin dough, and have muffins baking in my oven every waking minute of mine that I spend at home.
For me to accomplish this goal, I need to obtain muffin trays, and the ingredients for muffin batter.
Where can I get muffin trays? In almost any shop. There are different types off muffin trays, metal and silicone. There are muffin pans and muffin cup liners.

That piece of paper around the muffin is called a muffin liner or a cupcake liner.
If I were to put the muffin batter straight into a cupcake liner it would break the liner and spill all over.
That is why I need a muffin baking tin which looks like this

There are different types of Muffin Linings

Muffin cups (or baking liners) come in various materials – paper, parchments, silicone and foil- and sizes, including standard (2-3 oz), mini (0.4-1 oz), and jumbo (4-5 oz). Key types include standard pleated liners, rigid greaseproof papers, tulip-style liners, and re-useable silicone caps; ensuring easy removal, moisture retention, and uniform baking.
I don’t want to keep having to buy more and more paper liners every time I decide to bake muffins all the time as I intend to package my product in paper bags such as these most likely in bite size.
